International online call for entries, first edition

Tártaro Films Showcase

Your film can go further than the festival.

We are looking for independent short and feature films in horror, fantasy and sci-fi. Selected works may be showcased on our YouTube channel with a 50/50 revenue share and be considered for commercial distribution in Spain.

Selection does not guarantee revenue or a distribution deal. Submitting your film transfers no rights.

What you get

What can happen to your film after it is selected

Selection

Recognition and online programming

Selected films become part of the online programme of Tártaro Films Showcase. The best compete for the jury awards and special mentions.

YouTube

Exhibition and revenue share

Some selected films will receive a proposal to join the Tártaro Films YouTube channel, under a specific exploitation and 50/50 revenue share agreement.

Distribution

Possible commercial distribution

If a film fits our catalogue, we will study a distribution proposal in Spain: digital platforms (such as Prime Video or Filmin) or physical format, for example for festival submissions and other uses. Selection does not imply an automatic offer.

Each possible collaboration is negotiated separately and depends on available rights, technical requirements and acceptance by each platform.

Beyond the channel

We already distribute on Prime Video and Filmin

Tártaro Films distributes feature films on Prime Video and Filmin. If your film fits our catalogue and meets each platform's requirements, we can propose that next step.

This is a separate proposal, not an automatic one: it depends on available rights, technical requirements and acceptance by the platform.

How it works

From submission to channel

01

You submit your film

Through FilmFreeway, with English or Spanish subtitles if it is not in one of those languages.

02

Our team reviews it

Programmers who work daily with genre cinema and international sales. Every submission is reviewed by our programming team, and the films we like most are awarded.

03

You receive a written agreement

If we select your film, we offer you an individual agreement to join our YouTube channel. Nothing is published without a signature.

04

It is published and revenue is shared

Your film joins the channel programme and net revenue is split 50/50. Outstanding titles can also be proposed to platforms in Spain.

The agreement

Clear terms, in writing, before anything is published

We ask for nothing upfront beyond the submission fee. What is granted, for how long and how revenue is shared is set in an individual agreement with each rights holder.

50 / 50

Revenue share

Net revenue actually received for each film is split equally between Tártaro Films and the rights holders.

Your rights

They stay with you

The agreement states which rights are granted, in which territory, for how long and whether there is exclusivity.

Reporting

Periodic statements

You receive reports on what your film has earned, at the frequency set in the agreement.

Withdrawal

Exit conditions

The agreement itself sets out how you can withdraw your film from the channel.

What we do not promise: YouTube revenue depends on how each film is viewed and we cannot guarantee any figure. Distribution on platforms in Spain (Prime Video, Filmin and others), for outstanding titles, is offered separately under a specific agreement and depends on quality, technical requirements and acceptance by each platform.

FAQ

Before you submit

Do I give up any rights by submitting my film?

No. Submitting only lets us view the film for evaluation and use the title, stills and trailer to promote the call. If we select your film, you will receive a written agreement before anything is published.

How much can I earn?

You receive 50% of the net revenue actually received for your film, with periodic statements. The amount depends on how each title performs and we cannot guarantee any figure.

Will my film go to Prime Video, Filmin or other platforms?

Not automatically. Outstanding titles may be proposed to platforms in Spain such as Prime Video, Filmin and others, or for physical format, always as a separate offer, under a specific agreement and subject to quality, technical requirements and acceptance by each platform.

What do I need for my film to reach platforms?

Clear online exhibition rights, with music, archive footage and performers cleared; a good quality file; English or Spanish subtitles; and promotional material (poster, trailer and stills). Each platform also sets its own technical requirements.

Is this an in-person festival?

No. Tártaro Films Showcase is an online call for entries: selected films are programmed online and may join the Tártaro Films YouTube channel under a signed agreement.

What happens if my film is not selected?

Nothing is published and no rights are granted. We will only have used your submission to evaluate the film.

Can views or votes influence the awards?

No. Awards are decided by our programming team and jury, and their decisions are final. Artificially inflating views, likes or comments is grounds for disqualification.
