Quick answers

Before you ask

Are entry fees included?

Yes. You pay once, we cover the festival fees. No extra costs.

Do you take a commission on awards?

No. The prize and its endowment are 100% yours.

I’ve been submitting it myself for months. Worth it?

Yes: a short film’s festival run usually lasts well over a year. Joining now still changes the final result more than at any other point.

Why not just use Festhome myself?

The platform is the channel; strategy is what wins selections: which premiere opens, which festivals qualify, which fit your genre. That’s decided by someone from the circuit.

Do I have to work exclusively with you?

No, we don’t require an exclusivity clause. In practice, almost no one works with two distributors at once for the same film. Duplicate submissions to the same festivals just create conflicts. So while your package lasts, Tártaro is expected to be the only active distributor for that film.

Is there a minimum term? What happens when the submissions run out?

No minimum term. The service lasts until the submissions in your package are used up, no recurring fee, no penalty for not renewing. If the film is doing well, we can talk about extending the package, but it’s never an obligation.

What happens with my film after the festival run?

We negotiate the VOD/broadcaster window: we work directly with Filmin, Flixolé and Amazon Prime Video to take the film to a platform once the festival run is done.

What if I don’t get any selections?

We can’t guarantee selections. No honest distributor can. What we do guarantee is a professional strategy: real festivals matched to your film’s genre and potential, not random mass submissions. If after the first submissions we see it isn’t working, we tell you and we adjust the route together. We don’t just keep sending it out and stay silent.

Why can the duration vary?

The timeframe depends on the festival calendar, not on us: some months open up far more submission windows for your genre than others. Each plan’s figure is a realistic reference, not a cap. If your short needs more time to use up your package’s submissions, we keep going until it’s done.
