Once a title is selected, we coordinate materials, formats and screening requirements with the festival.

Who decides what enters the catalog

Criterion, not just volume

Led by Omar: more than 20 years selecting and programming fantastic and horror cinema at national and international festivals — he knows what a programmer is looking for because he's been one. Tártaro Films was founded in 2021.

Common questions from programmers

Do you work with both features and shorts?

Yes. We have a catalog of both feature films and short films, mostly within genre cinema.

Can you propose films based on our programming?

Yes. If you tell us what section you're preparing, what theme you're after, or what kind of film you need, we can review our catalog and propose titles that fit.

Can we request a specific film from your catalog?

Of course. If you already have a title in mind, get in touch and we'll check its availability and the conditions needed for screening.

Do you have materials ready for screening?

Yes. We handle the materials needed for exhibition and can provide a screener and technical materials, including DCP and subtitles where applicable.

Do you also work with films for retrospectives or seasons?

Yes. Besides new releases, our catalog includes titles that can be a good fit for retrospectives, tributes and specialized seasons.
